The linking process gave some strange error messages when linking to libGLcore.so (Nvidia drivers), which I can't remember. I think it complained that that library wasn't valid, but those messages repeated to fast to read & remember. After rebooting, my /bin, /lib, and $HOME where lost ($HOME landed in lost+found, I'm still sorting the files :D). I could restory /bin & /lib with the help of /rescue and the contents of /usr/obj.=20 I do have a crash dump available, so if you need more information I'd be glad to provide it. -- (kgdb) where #0 doadump () at /usr/src/sys/kern/kern_shutdown.c:240 #1 0xc0507e3a in boot (howto=3D260) at /usr/src/sys/kern/kern_shutdown.c:374 #2 0xc0508115 in __panic () at /usr/src/sys/kern/kern_shutdown.c:552 #3 0xc0544795 in bremfreel (bp=3D0xc7c89318) at /usr/src/sys/kern/vfs_bio.c:647 #4 0xc05446b8 in bremfree (bp=3D0xc7c89318) at /usr/src/sys/kern/vfs_bio.c:629 #5 0xc0548268 in getblk (vp=3D0xc2d51a28, blkno=3D23710912, size=3D16384, slpflag=3D0, slptimeo=3D0, flags=3D0) at /usr/src/sys/kern/vfs_bio.c:2466 #6 0xc0544819 in breadn (vp=3D0xc2d51a28, blkno=3D23710912, size=3D16384, rablkno=3D0x0, rabsize=3D0x0, cnt=3D0, cred=3D0x0, bpp=3D0x0) at /usr/src/sys/kern/vfs_bio.c:700 #7 0xc05447e4 in bread (vp=3D0xc2d51a28, blkno=3D23710912, size=3D16384, cred=3D0x0, bpp=3D0xd2973c04) at /usr/src/sys/kern/vfs_bio.c:682 #8 0xc05e5915 in ffs_update (vp=3D0xc30f8000, waitfor=3D0) at /usr/src/sys/ufs/ffs/ffs_inode.c:108 #9 0xc05f8511 in ffs_fsync (ap=3D0xd2973c70) at /usr/src/sys/ufs/ffs/ffs_vnops.c:325 #10 0xc05f76e7 in ffs_sync (mp=3D0xc2cb4c00, waitfor=3D3, cred=3D0xc14eae80= , td=3D0xc2cc4000) at vnode_if.h:627 #11 0xc0558562 in sync_fsync (ap=3D0xd2973ce4) at /usr/src/sys/kern/vfs_subr.c:3355 #12 0xc055544d in sched_sync () at vnode_if.h:627 #13 0xc04f5fdd in fork_exit (callout=3D0xc05551e8 <sched_sync>, arg=3D0x0, frame=3D0xd2973d48) at /usr/src/sys/kern/kern_fork.c:802 -- Regards, Andreas Kohn --=-YmE6lZkz0LAzKAQTNUqe Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name=signature.asc Content-Description: This is a digitally signed message part -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.4 (FreeBSD) iD8DBQBAMzoXYucd7Ow1ygwRAs+IAJ9VOwGYivhg1soZjPLgzHvuRUvkCgCglarf M2ub4cK8R+kMfyI6YYt0fO0= =s7KT -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --=-YmE6lZkz0LAzKAQTNUqe--
