In /var/log/cups/error_log I have: Could you send me your `dmesg` and `pciconf -lv` output? I suspect this is lpt driver problem (most likely conflicting irq). BTW, could you try to `echo '123' > /dev/lpt0` (printer can start printing this string) just after boot (instead of your first page)?
