For what its worth, I just stole an fxp from an x86. I'm going to try
to getting working, but I make no promises.

I've just seen the interface lock under load. I need to setup another
box with a second interface and an xover cable to test against as I do
all my development over NFS & the fxp is not usable as primary
interface.

David: Is the fxp module unloadable, or will it crash the machine in
strange and mysterious ways upon unload, like most of the network
drivers do?

Drew

PS: Interesting trivia: Newer firmware supports booting over the fxp!
