Maxim Sobolev <sobomax@mail-in.net> types: > At the same time, we have X11BASE, so little consistency > certainly won't hurt. A little consistency hurts when it causes a lot of inconsistency. Most of the variables in /etc don't have version numbers. For ports, WITHOUT_GTK, WITHOUT_GLIB, WITHOUT_IMLIB, and WITHOUT_GNOME don't have version numbers, and those are the ones most similar to this in functionality. WITHOUT_X is the one that was documented after it was discussed on -dco. It's the one users will expect to work. <mike -- Mike Meyer <mwm@mired.org> http://www.mired.org/home/mwm/ Independent WWW/Perforce/FreeBSD/Unix consultant, email for more information.
