I think the Mylex and Qvision should be fine -- we should just ignore them. So, if Matt's suggestion doesn't work, write me back in about 2 weeks or so. I'm the author of the 2100 support in FreeBSD. But I'm in the middle of changing jobs and moving 500 miles right now, and I am too busy to do much to support FreeBSD/alpha for the next few weeks.
