ok.  running now.  i think this is deja vu, and it will work.  i
used to have a mind ...

so, if the whole upgrade failed in 4 of 5 with

can i just portupgrade jamboree and then fifth toe, or should i
violate uniion rules and <gasp> follow the instructions to run
   gnome_upgrade.sh -restart
