Chmoding the web sirectories world readable is insecure and no neccesary
try tail -f /var/log/yourhttpderrorlogfile and see where it dies and fix
it no reason to chmod 77 them look for any .htaccess files and see if they
are blocking the current dir.

Are you using ports or manual install ? if you arnt using ports may i
recomend you do so?
