Subject: fdisk info on drive destroyed, recoverable?

A friend of mine has a disk which was "half" DOS and "half" FreeBSD and
after a machine crash, the fdisk partition information was zero'd. Any
ideas on how to recover the information? Does anyone have a program
that would scan the disk for the disklabel magic number to find the
start of the BSD partition? Or a way to extract the information from the
beginning of the DOS partition, which was at the begining?

Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks,
--Ben
