I can install FreeBSD from floppies but can not from dos partition. It always
gives me the error message "Failed to load ROOT distribution". I think I go
with floppy installation without problems because I have the imaged root.flp
disk available. I have only the directly dos-copied file root.flp in my
c:\freebsd\floppies directory. How can the installation get that root image
from hard drive? Could rawrite also make the root.flp image to hard drive?
(My understanding is it only makes the root.flp image for floppy disk). How
can I get around this problem? Please help.
