i think there was a discussion some days/weeks ago about trying to change the imake stuff that way that all the imake'd ports go into /usr/local (or something other definable != /usr/X11R6) - so that you can reinstall the XFree86-distribution without thinking about all the installed ports there (same for all the config, lib, app-default-files of the ports too ...) is anybody working on this ? - i think this would make the ports sheme much cleaner than now (some x stuff in /usr/local - the other in /usr/X11R6) and you have the base system, the base xfree86 system and the local part (usually /usr/local) t _______________________________________________________||___________________ __|| Perfection is reached, not when there is no __|| thomas graichen longer anything to add, but when there __|| freie universitaet berlin is no longer anything to take away __|| fachbereich physik __|| - Antoine de Saint-Exupery - __|| graichen@mail.physik.fu-berlin.de ___________________________||__________________graichen@FreeBSD.org_________
