Has anyone set up a serial printer to FreeBSD? I'm experimenting but still have no success. I want to connect a Dec LN03R Scriptprinter to /dev/ttyd2 and this is what I have so far: # @(#)printcap 5.3 (Berkeley) 6/30/90 lp0|lp|local laser printer:\ :lp=/dev/ttyd2:\ :fs#0x600:br#38400:\ :mx#0:sd=/var/spool/output/lpd:lf=/var/log/lpd-errs: I thought I'd set the ixon/ixoff flags. Don't know if this is correct though. It looks like the queue hangs and is waiting for the line being opened. lpq doesn't show the printer status, only escunix# lpq <<<----- here normally appears the status. Rank Owner Job Files Total Size 1st root 1 /etc/passwd 851 bytes Any ideas? --Chris Christoph P. U. Kukulies kuku@gil.physik.rwth-aachen.de
