Anyone thinking about trying FreeBSD should get the book. I have concluded that the IDE CD-ROM I was trying to use will not work, it was an off brand to begin with. I just received a SCSI-2 adapter and CD-ROM UPS today. I'm going to start over, I may have missed a little thing somewhere but I've spent too much time finding it. My Thanks to all of you have tried to help.
