Since the 3c509 handles dynamic irq assignments and comes with a
configuration utility, wouldn't it make more sense to allow the irq to
be dynamic? (You can also get the configuration utility from the 3com
web site.)

I was able to work around an irq conflict by booting the installation
floppy with "-c" but it would have been nicer if it had obeyed the
value I had manually configured into the ethernet card.

Other than that, I was impressed with the network installation.
