J Wunsch stands accused of saying: > > This is wrong. SCSI-2 knows of both, ``high density'' and AMP > connectors (``Centronics'' -- this term is entirely bogus though, > since Centronics is a parallel printer port definition, not just a > connector only). Pick pick pick. 8) "Centronics" was a printer company. They made printers that featured this wacko connector. AMP are a connector company; they make a bazillion different connectors. If you say "AMP connector" at me, I'm going to be totally confused. If you say "Centronics", I will know what you mean 8) The HD-50/68 connectors are known as "Honda" connectors as well. I don't know whether this is because Honda make them, because they're small and difficult to get along with, or just for fun. > cheers, J"org -- ]] Mike Smith, Software Engineer msmith@atrad.adelaide.edu.au [[ ]] Genesis Software genesis@atrad.adelaide.edu.au [[ ]] High-speed data acquisition and (GSM mobile) 0411-222-496 [[ ]] realtime instrument control (ph/fax) +61-8-267-3039 [[ ]] Collector of old Unix hardware.
