I thought ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/.3/FreeBSD/ is only for old releases? And symlinks like lrwxr-xr-x 1 root ftp-Free 37 May 3 13:00 packages -> ../../../pub/FreeBSD/packages-current lrwxr-xr-x 1 root ftp-Free 26 May 3 13:00 tools -> ../../../pub/FreeBSD/tools will be ignored by most (all?) mirrors.
