Gracias Amigo,

I checked the quantum web site ... no mention of this
issue under their FAQ's, etc. Most of the info there
is very, very tame and generic. No detailed info was
available.

By the way, how to I go about toying with the disk
parameters ( for this drive only ) under freebsd ?

I have started digging through the source code, but
I am clueless where to start.

Thanks for the help so far.
