What's this webpage? I've been thinking of this scanner, but had assumed 
I would be stuck with 95.

If you want to use this card, try booting with a boot floppy and see
if anything recognises it. 

Can you read any of the chips on the card? That might give us a clue.

These cables are quite common and should work fine. If you look at the
pinouts of a 50 pin SCSI, you'll find that many of the pins are ground.

Macs and PCs often use these type cables.
