I have been interested in getting a video capture/tv tuner card, and from the list archives it seems the Bt848 cards are the most popular. >From the archives and web page though, it seems there are a few details that I am confused about. How exactly is the video rendered into windows, and how does the scaling work? Does the direct video allow for the graphics card to do the scaling? I usually use 1600x1200, and would rather the video consume more than a 4x3" area. :) Also, I have a 2x133 Pentium with a Millenium--if it does scale to very high resolutions, can I still expect a frame rate of > 24fps? Any comments on the relative quality of specific brands? As an aside, I am also looking for a new sound card. Is there any real audible difference in sound quality between the SB16 WaveEffects and AWE64? I am only interested in audio playback/recording, etc. I'd hate to shell out any more money for an ISA card than I have to. :\ Thanks, Chris Csanady To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-multimedia" in the body of the message
