I have added some global varables in the /usr/src/sys/netinet/ip_input.c file. I use those for some IP layer hacking and have currently hardcoded them (just integers) and have to recompile and reboot every time I change the value. How can I change the values in a running system? Is adding a new sytem call to set them the only way? (if that IS a way :-)) If so, how does one go about creating a new system call for that? Is assembly prog. neccessary? any help will be greatly appreciated. thanks Sumit email: sumit@tamu.edu -- ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Sumit Gupta Masters Student Residence: Office: 4302, College Main Dept. of Elec.
