In any case, it should not be much of a problem given that several atapi drives can transfer audio faster than 1x, so a small buffer should suffice. (and in any case, i fail to see why one would want to grab live digital audio data from a CD to pump it straight into the DAC of the audio card, when there is a direct analog connection that would consume zero cpu and zero bus bandwidth...) cheers luigi -----------------------------+-------------------------------------- Luigi Rizzo | Dip. di Ingegneria dell'Informazione email: luigi@iet.unipi.it | Universita' di Pisa tel: +39-50-568533 | via Diotisalvi 2, 56126 PISA (Italy) fax: +39-50-568522 | http://www.iet.unipi.it/~luigi/ _____________________________|______________________________________ To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-current" in the body of the message
