IMHO it should. Yes. Removing dependency files is usually just a waste of time. We already have the `cleanobj' and `cleandir' targets for this. cleandir removes everything. cleanobj removes everything in the objdir and underneath it, and the obj link (if any), but does not descend into subdirectories in the source tree. `make world' normally does a full `make cleandir'.
