I used to get looping sound, but now I get nothing at all. what can i say ? I just tried a -current kernel with OPTI931, CS4232, Vibra16C, Vibra16X and in all cases mpg123 worked fine. Only problem was to configure the card properly (on my test system the CS4232 is onboard, dma1 is hardwired to that chip and not available on the ISA bus, and there are a few other config problems that force me to manually configure the second or third audio card). Remember the settings for the Vibra16X are different from other cards.
