I just got a 3Com 3C589D that doesn't seem to behave correctly. Symptoms include: - using tcpdump, I can watch ICMP echo requests going out, but I never see echo replies _until_ I kill ping; then they come back in a flood. - I can telnet to another system (connected via a crossover cable), but it takes about 1 second before the card actually transmits anything; then the response is immediate. This is a 3.0-BETA snapshot (as of Oct 9th). I note that no card memory is detected; is this normal for this particular card? >From pccardd (with -DDEBUG turned on): pccardd[]: Using I/O addr 0x300, size 16 pccardd[]: Setting config reg at offs 0x10000 to 0x41, Reset Time = 50 ms pccardd[]: Assigning I/O window 0, start 0x300, size 0x10 flags 0x7 pccardd[]: Assign ep0, io 0x300, mem 0x0, 0 bytes, irq 10, flags 80 Abbreviated pccardc: Code = 0x1b (Configuration entry), length = 15 000: c1 01 1d 71 55 35 55 54 e0 72 5d 64 30 ff ff Card decodes 18 address lines, full 8/16 bit I/O IRQ modes: level, Pulse IRQs: IOCK 1 4 5 6 8 10 11 12 14 -- Jonathan To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-mobile" in the body of the message
