where are you setting up ?
hey just try www.linux.org.au/LDP and search for ISP ...
zillions of links
be warned though, most of this linux stuff is flakey ;-)
as far as your hardware goes
isdn router seems a better way to go than a freebsd based modem
you can reboot your freebsd box as much as you like and not have the whole
service go down on you.
