You're short of memory.  Do a vmstat 5.  If you see scan rates > 
200-300 pages per second over a long period of time or scan rates > 
5000 pages per second over a 20 second period of time, or if you 
experience pageout rates of >7-10 pages per second you need more 
RAM.
