Thanks, Doug! This is good! I still don't understand this: The easiest type of installation is from CD. If you have a supported CDROM drive and a FreeBSD installation CD from Walnut Creek CDROM, you can start the installation by building a set of FreeBSD boot floppy from the files floppies/kern.flp and floppies/mfsroot.flp using the instructions found in floppies/README.TXT. Is this a different installation CD? If so, you should say so. Otherwise you'll have people trying to boot from the i386 CD, especially since WC don't seem to offer an Alpha CD. This is a serious problem for me. I'm trying to get something about Alpha into "The Complete FreeBSD", and I still don't know what to tell them.
