Certainly Nik has done a good job. No doubt about it.

No not that :-/

Jay, all that I want is to check, if the user _still_ has values in
the config file, that are _known_ to be too small for jadetex.
If this is the case, it's a complete showstopper.

I imagine, that people from the document project already
went through this painful tuning process that isn't easy, as
you say. Based on your experience (what finetuning is needed),
it should be possible, to get some recommended values, that have
to be configured, so that jadetex is able to "compile" the FreeBSD
documents from the document project.

If jadetex then is able, to compile the FreeBSD documents, the
settings can't be that bad, or ?!

BTW, is there perhaps a "meta-port" available for the document
project ? Could we then agree, that only the meta-port does the
tuning automatically (but of course with a warning message in
the post-install target).

If people use the metaport, then it should be evident, that jadetex
is primary used for the document project and then the automatic
tuning should be of greater value, than for people, that only want
to use jadetex, with possibly other goals than translating doc
from the document project ?

Could we agree on that ?
