Hi Andy,
I have been trying some other things and have some more input that might
help :

1. I tried the 2.2.7 installation CD instead of booting from hard disk.
==> Same problem. At the boot: prompt, all 3 lights go blinking.

2. I tried to boot from an OLD floppy of 2.2.1 maybe, and that went okay!
3. I tried to boot from a DOS floppy (system disk) and that was okay too.

4. So, I guess, there was something in my BIOS setup that the new installed
freebsd didn't like (which was okay till the last time I had booted. And I
had been working for more than a month on the 2.2.7 version happily)

5. I went into BIOS setup, and "Load the defaults". Then I booted from hard
disk, and it was OKAY!!! But, the default settings asked for user password
every time.

6. So, I went in again and "Disable Setup Prompt". Boot again from HD and
again the 3 lights blink.

Here is my conclusion:
	1. Define a USER PASSWORD
Because you have one for admin and user pwd already
		defined.
	2. Allow UNATTENDED START
Because you want to reboot remotely, maybe!
	3. Disable SETUP PROMPT
Because you want to reboot remotely, maybe!

THEN, you are in trouble with 2.2.7
It would work okay for 2.2.1 or DOS systems though.

Any ideas why it should happen that way?

Shashi
