There is an impending 1.0.50 release of GNOME (currently at 1.0.40-beta with a whole ton of upgrades). At least two people (myself, and Jeremy Lea) have updates to most of these, though it's a heavily moving target right now. The ports affected are (with current version numbers as of 1000 CDT 9/29/1999): Basic dependencies: devel/glib12 (1.2.5), x11-toolkits/gtk12 (1.2.5), graphics/imlib (1.9.7), audio/libaudiofile (0.1.9), audio/esound (0.2.14) Core code: devel/ORBit (0.5.0), textproc/libxml (1.7.2), www/libghttp (1.0.4), x11/gnomelibs (1.0.42), audio/gnomeaudio (1.0.0), devel/libglade (0.7), devel/libgtop (1.1.0), lang/gnomeobjc (1.0.40), print/gnomprint (0.9), x11/gnomecore (1.0.41) Applications: audio/gnomemedia (1.0.50), deskutils/gnomepim (1.0.50), games/gnomegames (1.0.50), graphics/electriceyes (0.3.11), math/gnumeric (0.38), misc/gnomeutils (1.0.50), net/gnomenetwork (1.0.2), print/ggv (0.61), sysutils/gnomeadmin (1.0.3), sysutils/gnomecontrolcenter (1.0.50), sysytils/gtop (1.0.4), x11-fm/gnomemc (4.5.39) In addition, other code is coming from the GNOME people (bonobo, gdx-pixbuf [imlib replacement], and eog [Eye of GNOME - electriceyes replacement]). It's a *huge* maze of twisty interdependencies here, with some ports absolutely requiring their dependencies to be a specific version, all made somewhat worse by the horribly Linux-centric code in some revisions of the components. Can I humbly ask that no further updates be made to the ports that make up the GNOME metaport until 1.0.50 is released (almost certainly less than a few days since it's being tagged as 'September GNOME'), then we can combine our respective work into one mega-update.
