Hi all, Although the boot speed of my FreeBSD 7.0-RELEASE and 7.1-BETA2 (didn't have time to update yet) are quite reasonable, I noticed the slower stage is always requesting an IP address to my router. I would like to know if there is a way (something in rc.conf?) to tell dhcp to run in the background, so while the crappy router is answering my request, hal, dbus and the whole thing can be loaded whitout delay.
