Hi all, is there any problem with large disks? I am not able to do a newfs on a 12G byte partition. This is my geometry: newww# disklabel wd0 8 partitions: # size offset fstype [fsize bsize bps/cpg] a: 409600 0 4.2BSD 1024 8192 16 # (Cyl. 0 - 25*) b: 522240 409600 swap # (Cyl. 25*- 58*) c: 26688576 0 unused 0 0 # (Cyl. 0 - 1661*) e: 3096576 931840 4.2BSD 1024 8192 16 # (Cyl. 58*- 250*) f: 8849408 4028416 4.2BSD 1024 8192 16 # (Cyl. 250*- 801*) g: 13810752 12877824 4.2BSD 1024 8192 16 # (Cyl. 801*-1661*) and this is my error: newwww# newfs -b 8192 -f 1024 wd0g write error: 13810751 newfs: wtfs: Input/output error newwww# tail f- /var/log/messages: Mar 29 16:27:58 newwww /kernel: wd0g: hard error writing fsbn 13810751 (wd0 bn 26688575; cn 1661 tn 73 sn 11) (status 51<rdy,seekdone,err> error 10<no_id>) Maybe this partition is too large?
