Hey all, I'm just getting back into computer stuff, so I upgraded freebsd 3.3-stable to freebsd 4.0 -release, and now XFree86 3.3.6 won't work. When I type startx it says "authentification failed \\ perhaps you don't have console ownership?" I don't know exactly why it does this, but I did compile the kernel with the correct options (UCONSOLE, SYS V memory stuff). I had the same problem with the GENERIC kernel. Help Please? Thank You Mark Bermal __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Send instant messages & get email alerts with Yahoo!
