You argued to me that using Apache specific functionality was a mistake
because not all mirrors are running apache.  Surely these redirects
shouldn't exist, and the internal links in the documentation should
be changed.  In addition a coupld of, sorry these links have changed.,
pages should be introduced.

IMO.
