>Description:
cdrecord cannot scan the SCSI bus and returns a cam error. camcontrol has no problem doing so. Here's the output:

quark# camcontrol devlist -v
scbus0 on ahc0 bus 0:
<PLEXTOR CD-ROM PX-20TS 1.00> at scbus0 target 3 lun 0 (pass0,cd0)

<PLEXTOR CD-R PX-R412C 1.04> at scbus0 target 4 lun 0 (pass1,cd1)

quark# cdrecord -scanbus
Cdrecord 1.9 (i386-unknown-freebsd4.2) Copyright (C) 1995-2000 Jorg Schilling
cdrecord: Operation not permitted. Error opening /dev/pass0 Cam error 'cam_real_open_device: couldn't open passthr. Cannot open SCSI driver.
cdrecord: For possible targets try 'cdrecord -scanbus'. Make sure you are root.

I was running both of these programs as root.
>How-To-Repeat:
Just run cdrecord -scanbus on my machine. :)

I've been told that cdrecord works on FreeBSD up to 5.0-current and that this problem only exists on my machine. The author of cdrecord thought that this may be a bug in cam. I don't believe I'm qualified enough to testify either way.
