Anyone that was having problems with ACPI hanging on their systems should try again; I'm pretty sure that a lot of our problems were stemming from deadlocks caused by us being the only OS to actually *implement* synchronisation primitives for ACPI... -- ... every activity meets with opposition, everyone who acts has his rivals and unfortunately opponents also.
