I think people are getting the idea from the installation program. I don't recall being prompted to set my securelevel in previous FreeBSD installations, but last time I installed (4.2) on a fresh system there was a prompt about setting securelevels. I think some people see the securelevel menu and think "gee, I don't want to have an *insecure* machine." Is it necessary to prompt for securelevel during installation?
