Can anyone think of a way, after reboot/fsck/etc, from userland,
of detecting whether or not 'this' boot was the consequence of an
uncontrolled reboot?

I have a situation where a MySQL table usually needs repair via
'iasmchk' after such a reboot, and I only want to take the time
for such a repair in that circumstance.

I _suppose_ I could grovel for the

/kernel: WARNING: / was not properly dismounted

line out of /var/log/messages, but I would prefer something that
wasn't sensitive to my syslog configuration...
