Hi Riccardo,
Sure, would be happy to send my kernel config along, although there is
nothing terribly special about it. The way that I know of to get the
DVD working, is to tell the FreeBSD bootloader to wait for 60 seconds
before booting the kernel. This allows for the DVD to settle, and thus
work. This is a known problem.
In order to mount a CD, I use mount /cdrom. This depends on there being
a line like this in your /etc/fstab file:
/dev/acd0c /cdrom cd9660 ro,noauto 0 0
Hrm.. I do not have a Xircom PCMCIA card, but maybe someone else on the
-mobile list would be able to help you..
Hope this helps you some..

I believe I saw Riccardo Scandariato (riccardo.scandariato@polito.it) write this:

Ben Lovett printf("Hello world!);

To boldly go where I surely don't belong.
