Toss it in /usr/local/etc/rc.d, or leave it where it is and call it from
/etc/pccard.conf in the section for the Aironet card.

Unfortunately, I can't help here. I have the card working on 4.1.1, but
that machine is unavailable at the moment (which reminds me to get it back).

Under 4.1.1, ping replies were normal and didn't see ping times that long.
