I don't know how it is up north, but I know here that they have to do something to the outside grey box (UNI/NNI? I can't remember the term), and then, if you get the 10BaseT here, they split the wiring from the 4 pair down to 2 - I believe that DSL uses the inside two wires (Sorry, forgot the colors) I know that the information wasn't too hard to find - google can be your friend here.. :) All in all, it doesn't seem too bad, like I said, I'm just lazy like that..
