Where did I say that?? The IMPORTER into FREEBSD hasn't done any syncs to NetBSD. That is what I said. > 2) NetBSD and OpenBSD both has different fixes and solutions which I was > and still am synching with our version. Why are you not interested in the vendor branches? If you follow the NetBSD code base, then you should [vendor] import the code. And you have yet to give any reason for adding $FreeBSD$'s when you weren't making any other changes to the code. > What strikes me the worst of all is the presumptions you make when you > have NO clue what kind of research I have done with regard to this, who > I have talked this over with and what time pressure I was on to work > this out back then. Who did you discuss this with and what research did you do? The research of `cvs log' would have shown this was on a vendor branch and one should not make content-free commits. > We are not all blessed to work full-time on FreeBSD. What does *that* have to do with anything. I am not paid to maintain lint. I made the malloc-unwinding commit on my *own* time. > If I sound pissed, you are correct, I am, and no I will not take this > private, since I have no respect for the way you have been treating me > as a person, my judgement and reasons in public. WTF are you talking about? The only comment I've made about you is that you took the xlint code off the vendor branch, and I don't think that was a good judgment on your part. There must be something else where fueling your anger that I do not know about or understand. > >If you object to this commit, I am willing to back it out prejudice. > > That wouldn't be the first time you think you can assume to be lord and > master over FreeBSD. I offered to put things back the way I found them; and now if I do you are quitting FreeBSD? Damned if I do, damned if I don't. Well you and BDE talk together and decide what I could do to make the both of you happy. -- -- David (obrien@FreeBSD.org) To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe cvs-all" in the body of the message
