Strictly speaking this isn't a freeBSD problem but it relates to it so i thought I'd give it a try here. I am running Windows ME (yuck) on my laptop and wanted to shrink the partition so I could create a second one and install freeBSD on it. I'm not real confident that one of the free tools (fips) in the freeBSD ftp directory works on FAT 32 (the document only indicate FAT16). On the other hand presizer.exe does indicate it will work on FAT32, but when I set it up and ran it I got this message... The Partition Resizer v. 1.3.0 (c) Zeleps 1994-98 Please wait...Cecking: -Available physical IDE drives...done. -Partition structure...Divide error So my questions are... Does anyone understand what I did wrong? What do I need to do to do it right? If this just won't work on windows ME does anyone know of one that will (one that does not require me to pay 60 bucks plus for something I will use once)? ===== Email me at: Erik28com@yahoo.com To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
