It's not only audio/grip that fails; *many* threaded applications will fail if the devel/pth port is installed, including, IIRC, nearly all the KDE and Gnome ports. In short, the devel/pth port is not really compatible with ports maintained for the FreeBSD native threads library. "Fixing" that would probably be next to impossible - maintaining two sets of patchfiles for each port which uses threads :) G'luck, Peter -- If this sentence didn't exist, somebody would have invented it.
