I agree that a well-presented CV is desirable, but on the other hand I tend to delete posts to -jobs that appear in binary formats. HTML is not renowned for consistent formatting on the display device. What looks great in Opera may be hideous in Netscape. At a recent (successful) job interview I was {humourously} invited to guess the browser used to print my HTML CV. It was Not What I Intended; no thanks to Konqueror - I'd checked it for style in IE, Netscape, Opera. There is no need to maintain one's CV in any format other than DocBook. Then you can generate <HTML>, %PDF, {\RTF} (<-- for export to word), %!Postscript, \{TeX}, plain text, even nroff(1)! With correct stylesheets there should be no subsequent need for haND-eDItiNg, either. Then simply post a list of URLs in your plain-ascii cover email...
