USB keyb/mice assume a system that has an SRM console that knows about USB and
allows their use as console devices. That implies non-DEC/CPQ systems,
so I guess API systems-only.

Can someone please clarify?

10/100 Proliant are i386 by definition (embedded NIC), so should not turn
up in arch=alpha

make that DE500-xx as the BA is the media variant (UTP, fibre etc).

I would loose the above line altogether. There are tons of CDR[W] drives
that work with FreeBSD, this does not cover anything usefull or complete.
