No, no, not chemicals - medication. :) Seriously, though, ummm, wow, that's cool. In a very buggy sort of way. Konsole does have these green and transparent background modes (under Settings/Schema) and this looks suspiciously like one of them. But the "horizon" about 2/3 the way down is weird. It's almost like you had a green-tint bg, then changed the font to a smaller one, or did something similar that would make the viewport not match the windows visible area any more. But this is happening by itself... BTW, Jim, it *does* help to see it. Now, lemme ask a couple of Qs... 1. What konsole "schema"? 2. What font? Pre-defined or custom? 3. Rows x columns? 4. Video card? Res? Depth? 4A. If Voodoo3/5, which? If 5, got right libs for it? 5. Mesa (GL)? Mesa (GL) screensaver? DRI? Xvideo? Other whiz-bang neat-o X extensions that muck with video buffers? 6A. Does it happen if screensaver is not activated? 6B. Does it happen if screensaver has been activated? 7. Can you make it go back to normal? 7A. What if you iconize and restore it? Change? Normal? No change? 8. Does it ever happen to more than 1 konsole? If not, always (only) the 1st one started? 9. Minimal set of stuff to do to make it happen? E.g., start up konsole, let screensaver kick in, unlock screen, Bingo! > >Very bizarre. Yup.
