Hello again, Thanks for the tips to those that replied. The simplicity of the solution is embarassing, but I have another question that seems to stem from the same process described in the original message. After ran "make world", I later rebooted my machine and now I can't seem to connect to the internet. It appears that it has something to do with my firewall rules....which are very simple at this point and worked before I ran "make world". Is there something I did wrong again? Do I need to do another kernel configuration and use the new version of the kernel that was downloaded during the cvsup I ran?? Any ideas on why this happened? TIA, Thomas Kersten --- Scott Mitchell <scott.mitchell@mail.com> wrote: > On Mon, Dec 31, 2001 at 01:26:13PM -0800, Tom > Kersten wrote: > > cvsup-config: > > (--clipped--) > > # Defaults that apply to all the collections > > # IMPORTANT: Change the next line to use one of > the > > CVSup mirror sites > > # listed at > > http://www.freebsd.org/handbook/mirrors.html. > > *default host=cvsup7.FreeBSD.org > > *default base=/usr/local/etc/cvsup > > *default prefix=/usr > > # The following line is for 4-stable.
