I've got no information other than what I posted. I've replaced the 'sym' board with a 'ahc' board as this system needs to be operational ASAP. Thankfully this problem should be easy to reproduce as "SEAGATE ST410800WSUN9.0G 0407" drives are cheap and I assume there is nothing special about my SYM22802 board. -- | Matthew N.
