IMHO is one of the most beautiful languages ever created. It's simple, small and efficient. And it requires you to know what you are doing, but I consider that a feature. C resembles assembler on many of it's constructs. C++ on the other hand is a solution for a non existant problem. Sure, you can write good code in C++ (e.g. BeOS), but it usually leads to bloatware (cough MSFT cough) because programmers get really excited about all those cool (as in useless) features.
