Question: Do you mean set in the serial port settings or in the section on PCI settings 'legacy interrupts'. I've seen BIOSes having a big list of all 15 IRQs and you can say 'no/PCI' or 'ISA' for each interrupt. In the later case the PnP and PCI code do not use that interrupt for anything.
